Healthcare professional advertising reviewer

Job Summary

  • Responsible and accountable to the Senior Reviewer of Preclearance Services for the review of assigned pharmaceutical advertising to ensure PAAB code compliance and to meet PAAB client service guidelines.
  • Evaluate and assess areas where PAAB’s review quality could be improved by proposing, to the Senior Reviewer of Preclearance Services, revisions to the Code, policies and/or operations.
  • Assist with planning and preparation of presentations to the industry and other external events as requested and make presentations independently or with the Commissioner and/or the Senior Reviewer of Preclearance Services and/or other reviewers.
  • Assist the Senior Reviewer of Preclearance Services with other duties as requested.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

Broad knowledge of:

  • the pharmaceutical industry, including medical, regulatory, and marketing functions
  • various forms of pharmaceutical advertising and promotional systems
  • the legislative environment and Health Protection Branch organization, policies and procedures
  • health professionals and particularly an understanding of the impact of advertising on the practice of medicine

Other requirements include:

  • Good oral and written communications in English (and French is an asset) interpersonal, analytical and assessment skills.
  • University degree in Pharmacy or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience
