It is an exciting time at Conestoga College! We are transforming our Student Information System (SIS), Human Resources Information System (HRIS), and Finance Information System (FIS) through a C3 – Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation.

As C3 Program Manager, you will lead the implementation and final delivery of ERP systems. This key role will manage all aspects of project delivery from inception to conclusion. You will leverage relationships with our internal teams and external stakeholders, including vendors, to ensure successful project completion and results. The C3 Program Manager will build a project team, collaborate with key stakeholders, manage day-to-day project activities, ensure control policies and procedures are adhered to, and provide stakeholders and the broader Conestoga community with regular project status updates and progress reports.

Successful candidates will be required to conduct work within Ontario and must be available to work onsite as required. It is anticipated that this position will meet the needs of the college through a hybrid work arrangement.

Responsibilities:

PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND DELIVERY

  • Identify goals; develop, monitor, and report on project plans and timeline
  • In conjunction with Procurement, oversee the scope of RFPs and assist with contract management
  • Oversee project tracking system to manage project reviews and prepare status updates
  • Identify barriers and solutions to ensure that the project remains on schedule
  • Develop a communication strategy to ensure the college community remains informed and engaged
  • Serve as the primary contact to the project’s sponsor, senior leadership team, and vendors
  • Monitor, track, and report on vendor performance
  • Work closely with project teams from Human Resources, Finance, the Registrar’s Office, and Information Technology & Systems to ensure that internal requirements are satisfied
  • Continue to monitor, govern, and enhance the C3 program and complimentary projects post-implementation

CHANGE MANAGEMENT

  • Provide expertise in change management principles, methodologies, and organizational communication
  • Develop and deliver training programs to ensure that stakeholders are prepared for the project delivery and change
  • Identify and prepare risk mitigation strategies while ensuring end-user readiness
  • Anticipate potential reactions to the project, including sources of resistance and barriers to change, and develop mitigation resources, tools and tactics

COMMUNICATION & TRAINING

  • Provide regular updates and program progress to senior leadership
  • Provide leadership, feedback, and subject matter expertise to project teams
  • Work with internal and external project stakeholders during implementation and training to ensure the delivery of appropriate solutions
  • Collaborate with all departments and areas of the college to upgrade skills and knowledge to adopt and utilize new technologies
  • Assist with developing a communications plan that identifies target audiences, identifying supports, resources and tools needed to facilitate stakeholders through the transition

Qualifications:

  • Minimum four-year Degree required; Master’s Degree in Computer Science, IT Engineering, Cloud Computing, Business Administration, Leadership or a related field is preferred
  • Experience, knowledge and understanding of cloud-based technologies
  • Project management experience and certification considered an asset (e.g., PMP, PgMP, PfMP, CAMP)
  • Nine years of experience developing, implementing, and coordinating complex enterprise, technology, and application systems; experience in the Higher Education sector is considered an asset
  • Proficiency in managing cloud-based IT infrastructure upgrades such as ERP platforms
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Effective and proven change agent who possesses the influencing and relationship-building skills needed to help the organization adopt new technology
  • Excellent leadership, communication, client service, conflict resolution, and consultative skills to work effectively with a variety of people
  • Ability to work effectively in an environment of conflicting priorities, increased demands with limited resources, scope changes and to adjust priorities as required and work on multiple, unrelated projects simultaneously
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and provide solutions
