Description:

Canadian plays, with emphasis on major playwrights and on developments since 1940, but with attention also to the history of the theatre in Canada.

Please note in keeping with current circumstances, the course may be delivered remotely as determined by the University at a later date.

Estimated Course Enrolment: 45

Class Schedule: M 1-2, W 1-3

Sessional dates of appointment: Jan 1, 2021 – April 30, 2021

Salary:

SL1 – $16,979.33 per full course

SL1 long term – $17,738.50 per full coruse

SL2 – $18,171.15 per full course

SL3 – $18, 603.70 per full course

Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates sated in this posing, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.

Minimum Qualifications:

PhD in English with specialization in and/or experience teaching Canadian literature/drama at the university level: strong academic record, demonstrated teaching ability, evidence of currency in subject matter.

Description of Duties:

All normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; development, admin. and marking of assignments, tests and exams; calculation and submission of grades; holding regular office hours, supervising any TA(s) if applicable, assigned  to the course.
