Located on the outskirts of the Nation’s Capital, Arnprior Regional Health (ARH) is a progressive 173-bed organization that includes a fully accredited community hospital, a recently redeveloped long-term care home and extensive community programs. The Position

Appointed by the Board of Directors, the President and CEO (P & CEO) provides overall leadership to the Corporation’s employees, physicians and volunteers in pursuit of the ARH Mission, Vision, Values and strategic objectives. The P&CEO is accountable for the overall administration and performance of the Hospital, The Grove long term care residence, Seniors Village and various Community Programs.

This top executive position is also responsible for establishing and maintaining effective relationships between the Corporation and external stakeholders to advance the interests of the community served and contribute to the broader healthcare system.

Key Responsibilities

· In partnership with the Board of Directors, establish and execute the Corporation’s strategic plan, goals and organizational strategy.

· Be an active leader and sponsor for large-scale organizational change initiatives, helping to build a coalition of sponsors across the community and with physicians, staff and volunteers.

· Lead and promote the talent management strategy that fosters retention, identifies high potential leaders and promotes status as an Employer of Choice.

· In partnership with the Chief Financial Officer, oversee the annual planning and budgeting cycle, as well as the efficient allocation of resources, cash flow, control and risk management.

· Collaborate with major funding agencies such as the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Long-Term Care, Arnprior Regional Health Foundation and Arnprior Regional Health Auxiliary to secure financial support and meet the needs of the organization.

· Provide guidance and counsel to the Board, employees, physicians and volunteers.

· Develop and sustain relationships with community leaders, politicians, the public and media to foster collaboration and transparency.

· Negotiate, promote and lead redevelopment projects, such as the creation of the planned Seniors’ Village.

· Oversee the needs assessment, capital planning and construction of facility renewal projects.

· Facilitate the formation of an Ontario Health Team, affiliations and joint ventures of integrated delivery systems to meet the needs of the community and improve access, as well as the patient experience.

· Serve as the Corporation’s ambassador and chief spokesperson.

Who You Are

You are a recognized senior leader with seven to ten years of progressive experience. You understand the current Ontario healthcare environment and have strong leadership and financial acumen.

Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration or equivalent

Certified Health Executive (CHE)

· Proven ability to consistently demonstrate leadership, including modeling the way, developing and empowering others, creating visionary alignment, encouraging collaboration and teamwork

· Strong commitment to the patient-partnership model of care

· Demonstrated commitment to excellence and quality, with proven experience in risk management, quality, technology and financial acumen

· Systems thinker who is innovative, collaborative and solutions-oriented

· Outstanding interpersonal and relationship management skills

· Demonstrated experience influencing change at a systems level, leveraging innovation and partnerships
