Position Summary:

Project overview

The Bensadoun School of Retail Management is embarking on an important initiative, funded in large part by the Quebec Ministry of Economy and Innovation.

The project is comprised of 4 pillars:

1) Conducting innovative research projects through the new retail innovation lab, which integrates interdisciplinary research and artificial intelligence, enabling researchers to develop new ideas and technologies to improve the customer experience;

2) Establishing professional development programs for the retail sector;

3) Conducting knowledge transfer to support the province’s small- and medium-sized enterprises in their digital and omni-channel transformation;

4) Cultivating the next generation of skilled retail talent through student research stipends, internships and other experiential learning opportunities.

Under the supervision of the Academic Director of the Bensadoun School of Retail Management, the Project Manager will work in close collaboration with each designated lead of each pillar, as well as with other key stakeholders, to help plan, organize, and implement all elements of the project.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the project to ensure that timelines for deliverables and budget constraints are respected.
  • Ensure that project planning and implementation respect the terms and conditions of the approved Convention de subvention .
  • Provide regular updates and reports to supervisor, project team members, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot any problems that may arise, communicating them to the project team and recommending practical solutions to address them.
  • Develop and regularly update project timeline, including milestones and deliverables.
  • Proactively look for new ways to enhance coordination of project during planning and implementation phases.

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in project management, preferably at a large-scale, involving multiple sub-projects and respective stakeholders.
  • Must be bilingual (English and French); spoken and written.
  • Demonstrated ability to use appropriate software tools to manage complex project timelines with multiple milestones and deliverables, and to present project updates and formal reports to various stakeholders.
  • At ease in monitoring and reporting on key metrics in an efficient manner.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic work environment with shifting priorities and fluctuating workloads.
  • Ability to work with both mid- to senior-level managers, as well as academic researchers.
  • Keen attention to detail, while maintaining a big-picture perspective.

Bachelor’s Degree 3 Years Related Experience /

Annual Salary:

(MPEX Grade 04) $56,370.00 – $84,550.00
