Operating in 21 countries with 180 staff, Cuso works in partnership with governments, civil society organizations, multi-lateral agencies and the private sector to develop and deliver programs to improve the lives of people living with poverty and inequality. Cuso also mobilizes hundreds of volunteer professionals annually, to work alongside local partners.

 

Cuso International is seeking a Senior Director, International Programs to provide leadership and strategic direction for the development and management of Cuso’s programs and operations in Latin America and the Caribbean, Sub-Saharan Africa, Southeast Asia, and Canada. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, and as a key member of the Senior Management Team, the Senior Director, International Programs is also responsible for raising funds from, and stewarding relationships with, institutional donors and for building relationships with government officials, partners and key stakeholders.

You derive immense satisfaction from impactful work focused on improving the lives of women and girls and have a demonstrated ability to build and cultivate strong collaborative relationships with various stakeholders. You hold senior-level management experience coupled with a depth of experience working in the field to alleviate poverty and inequality in developing and/or middle-income countries. You are a strategic thinker with a solid track record in securing funds and stewarding relationships with institutional donors as well as supporting the efforts of multiple funding streams. You are recognized for your ability to develop relationships with high profile donors and volunteers and demonstrated experience in relationship building and development across cultures. You have the ability to influence, negotiate and collaborate and have a strong sense of integrity and a commitment to human dignity and respect for diversity. Proficiency in both English and Spanish, or English and French, is essential and this role will require frequent international travel.
