Mount Saint Vincent University (MSVU) is strongly committed to fostering equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility (EDIA), and as such is looking to hire a Black scholar in the Department of Business and Tourism and Hospitality Management, who specializes in the field of Marketing commencing on 1 July 2021.
The successful applicant will hold or be near completion of a PhD/DBA or an equivalent terminal degree, or they will have an alternative combination of knowledge and experience. Applicants should be prepared to teach in the areas of Introductory Marketing, Advertising and/or Marketing Strategy, although other areas may also be considered. Evidence of research competency and teaching experience at the university level is an asset. Experience with and an interest in online course delivery would be an asset.
The Department of Business and Tourism prides itself on its student engagement efforts and the successful candidate is expected to maintain an active role in contributing to this initiative. Mount Saint Vincent University is currently engaged in developing significant international partnerships and faculty will have an opportunity to teach in China.
Salary and benefits are in accordance with the Collective Agreement with the Mount Saint Vincent University Faculty Association (please visit www.msvufa.ca). This position is subject to final budgetary approval and will remain open until filled.
