About the role
This role is a 12 month contract for a Senior Associate in the Talent team to support Human Resources Risk management (70% allocation) and Employee Relations Horizontal operations (30% allocation).
The Senior Associate, Talent is responsible for:
Risk management:
- Support the HR Risk Manager in planning, execution, and process improvements of HR Risk programs
- Managing the HR Risk Scoping process including arranging meetings with key stakeholders, leading the meeting and following up with the necessary parties to ensure timely closure of issues
- Oversee HR areas build controls and assess their effectiveness
- Track and report on key risk metrics for Canada HR, including the HR Leadership Team
- Develop and manage Canada Risk Office processes and procedures documentation
- Partner with key support functions in Canada including Legal, Compliance and the Canada Business Risk Office as well as international HR partners to leverage best practices and ensure alignment and support for Canada HR
- Educate, support and drive activities within the Canada HR team to ensure risk management practices are embedded into day-to-day activities with first line business owners
Employee (Associate) relations:
- Support the Employee Relations team with risk-related activities including creation of process documentation
- Triage and assignment of cases that come into the Associate Relations Canada mailbox; including providing a response to Tier 1 cases
- Reporting activities including monthly MBR reporting, and other Associate Relations specific reports as may be required
- Providing general and ad-hoc support to the Associate Relations Consultants
Basic Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in a role focused on risk management, process management and/or project management
- At least 2 years of experience in working with HR policies and practices and how these can be impacted with process changes
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Human Resources or a related function
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to build relationships quickly across a variety of teams, stakeholders and levels of associates
- Sound judgment, prioritization and decision making skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple processes
