Position Purpose Summary
The Corporate Partnership Manager is responsible for engaging corporations in national, strategic partnerships that build brand alignment, social impact, and drive revenue generation. This position will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and programs while actively engaging with corporate partners for new business opportunities for transformational social impact.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key Responsibilities
Sponsorship Marketing
- Strategic leadership and management of a national corporate sponsorship program with the goal of ensuring high levels of engagement with corporate partners who have a passion for social impact through the brand and values alignment opportunity with The Salvation Army
- Manage communication, procedure and policy for national corporate partnership ensuring compliance with Salvation Army programs and Development leads
- Knowledge leader for organization in all areas of sponsorship and corporate engagement, social responsibility, and the legal framework which regulates sponsorship
- Strategically lead and manage corporate stakeholder relationships, providing presentations, written proposals and in-person meetings with corporate leadership to secure and steward national partnerships
Relationship Management
- Research and manage prospect corporate sponsors, conducting ethics scans and clearing prospects for sponsorship relationships based on brand alignment
- Manage existing relationships, working with territorial and divisional teams to ensure full engagement and strategy position
- Conduct discovery meetings, prepare and post contact reports, build custom proposals, negotiate and close sponsorship agreements with sponsors
- Build awareness of The Salvation Army’s sponsorship program, benefits and community opportunities
Strategy Implementation
- Manage sponsorship asset inventory development, valuation and tracking for the Canada and Bermuda Territory
- Develop and manage valuations for the asset inventory based on industry market values and The Salvation Army specific conditions
- Create custom bundled packages, working across divisions, programs, departments, and other units to secure organization wide sponsors
- Manage sponsorship fulfillment, activation, and stewardship of sponsors
- Manage sponsorship contracts including developing fulfillment reports and coordinating activation activities
- Lead annual evaluation of sponsorship program and make recommendations for continued improvements to ensure profitable return on investment is delivered for The Salvation Army and sponsors
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications and Education requirements:

Education/Certifications:
- Post-secondary diploma/degree in Marketing, Business Administration or Fundraising
- CFRE or working toward CFRE designation preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive fundraising experience in major gifts, corporate fundraising securing donations and sponsorships at the leadership level with gifts of $100,000 and greater
- Project management experience, including planning, budgeting, monitoring and analysis
Required Skills/Knowledge:
- Highly collaborative with the ability to develop strong partnerships across the organization
- Strong knowledge of current and developing digital fundraising and marketing strategies
- Ability to write and edit compelling fundraising copy with 100% accuracy
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to plan and lead projects to meet expected outcomes
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (graphic design experience is an asset)
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and a variety of demands
- Ability to query, segment and analyze data for reporting, identifying growth potential and trends
- Ensure compliance with all policies, regulations and laws
- Skill in preparing written reports and presentations
- Life-long learner who remains current in digital fundraising and marketing trends and strategies
