We are seeking a qualified teacher who must possess:
A Manitoba Teacher’s Certificate, or eligibility for teacher certification in the Province of Manitoba.
A major/minor in the social sciences/English, and a strong academic background.
A major in English language and literature.
Demonstrated ability to instruct social studies and English Language Arts at the senior years level.
Demonstrated ability in the differentiation of instruction and evaluation to meet the needs of all learners.
Preference will be given to candidates who possess:
Previous successful senior years teaching experience.
Demonstrated ability and experience with English as an Additional Language learners.
Experience with “E” sheltered content area programming.
Knowledge and understanding of teaching literacy through the curriculum.
Knowledge, skills and ability to infuse technology into the curriculum.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as an effective member of a team in delivery a quality program.
