Salary: $31.07 – $46.16 hourly; $58,764 to $87,303 annual (Classification: Instructor)

Educational Supplement: Masters Degree $2,725 per annum; PhD $5,450 per annum

Our International Academic Preparatory (IAP) Program provides training to increase English language proficiency and prepare international students for further study at the post-secondary level and for employment in the Canadian workplace. Current IAP offerings will prepare students for careers in the healthcare and food processing sectors.

You are an instructor who is passionate about international education and providing exceptional learning experiences for students. You are motivated by student success and supporting international student integration through: English language training, intercultural awareness building, academic skill development and skills for the workplace. Your direct experience understanding the educational needs of international students and English language learners will be valuable.

Take Initiative.

Your previous experience shows that you are independent and look for creative opportunities to expand the impact of your lessons. You are the type of person who doesn’t wait for direction, you take initiative, troubleshoot, and problem solve when it comes to classroom dynamics. Your enthusiasm, strong intercultural communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills will help support your classroom management skills.

Deliver Results.

You are TESL/TESOL certified (including relevant post-secondary education) and bring with you years of experience teaching adult international students. You must be able to coordinate classroom instruction using various technology platforms to deliver classes online and/or a blended format. Well-developed technical skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite and Zoom, are essential. Experience in curriculum development and knowledge of the Moodle learning platform are assets.

These positions are dependent upon student enrollment and funding.
