DESCRIPTION

The School of Nursing at the University of British Columbia’s Okanagan campus invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of Lecturer to begin as early as July 1, 2021. The School of Nursing [see http://www.ubc.ca/okanagan/nursing/welcome.html ] is housed within the Faculty of Health and Social Development. The faculty also houses schools of Social Work and Health & Exercise Science. The School of Nursing offers undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs in nursing. In addition to active partnerships with our surrounding communities and Interior Health, our school has international partnerships with schools in Ghana and Zambia.

Applicants must be a Registered Nurse holding current registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives, have a minimum of a Master’s degree in nursing or a related discipline, and prior teaching experience in both classroom and clinical practice settings. The successful candidates should have a record of teaching excellence at the undergraduate level and be prepared to teach broadly in undergraduate and nursing practice-based courses in the School.

The School Nursing currently has 64 full-time faculty members and instructors, over 600 undergraduate and graduate students, and offers undergraduate, masters, and doctoral degrees in nursing.
