IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Head of programs CLSC
STARTING DATE: July 1st 2021
SOMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:
The person holding the position will plan, supervise and coordinate nursing activities of the CLSC in all programs such as: infantile monitoring, perinatality, vaccination, STI, school health, home care, routine care, etc. She will share with the nursing team, the “on call” emergency duty. She will act as a resource person for her colleagues in the planning, delivery and evaluation of nursing care. She will work on the design, implementation, evaluation and revision of the nursing planning of the service and its clinical assessment tools and the quality of care as well as orientation, identification of training needs and evaluation of staff performance. When required, she will exercise the usual functions of a Nurse.
REQUIRED ACADEMIC BACKGROUND:
This position is accessible to all individuals with a BAC or a DEC as long as the candidates obtain a note of 60/85 in the evaluation grill that will be completed during the interview.
Qualifications
Active member of O.I.I.Q
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in advanced nursing CLSC practice
Must have successfully completed training in Enlarged Role and / or have experience in
Community health and isolated outpost (Enlarged Role)
Positive leadership
Great sense of responsibility and organization
Bilingualism French/English (spoken and written) is essential; knowledge of Inuktitut is an asset
Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and developing good interpersonal relationship
Experience in an Emergency Department and/or Community Health is an asset
Provide training to designated employees Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal
Conditions and benefits
SALARY: Min: 958.09 $ Max: 1805.98$ / week
ISOLATION PREMIUM: 226.39$ or 399.10$ / week, as per the family status
HIGH COST LIVING PREMIUM: 79.13$ / week or more, as per the family status
RETENTION PREMIUM: 288.46$ / week
A person recruited in Quebec with greater than 50 kilometers from the locality in which she/he is called upon to perform her/his duties, will be granted annual trips and a lodging unit as per her/his status. May be required to share a lodging unit temporarily.
