Temporary Part Time Community & Family Services Program Assistant (April 2021 – February 2022)

NA

• Assists CFS Coordinator and CFS Community Worker in operation of food bank
• Provide oversight of the food bank
• Stocks rooms
• Supervise receipt of food into stock rooms
• Pack food hampers
• Monitor stock levels and report levels if low
• Restock shelves
• Ensure the stock rooms are clean and tidy and orderly
• Performs other duties as assigned

• The successful candidate must meet the requirements under the Canada Summer Jobs Program
  • Be between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusively) at the time of intake/selection
• Interest in the social services
• Experience assisting people in need
• Ability to work patiently with people
• Ability to protect confidentiality
• Ability to understand and follow direction
• Ability to work with a team
• Effective written and verbal communication
• Must be comfortable working within a Christian church environment

Successful candidate will be required to provide upon hiring:

• A clear vulnerable sector screening
• Participate in our online Armatus Abuse Training and Health and Safety training required upon hiring, as well as updated annually

HOURS: 17 hours per week
