Typical Duties or Accountabilities: The successful candidate will design and conduct in vivo and in vitro studies to examine the molecular mechanisms of lung inflammation using a broad array of cell and whole organ based approaches. Dr. Singh has now returned to University of Saskatchewan from University of Calgary (2016-2021) and is rebuilding his research laboratory. The successful candidate will have opportunity to supervise undergraduate student research projects and to create collaborations with other laboratories.
Education: Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D within previous 2 years with an impressive and relevant publication record.
Skills: The successful candidate should be able to work independently to design and conduct studies, and have excellent written and oral communication skills. The applicants should have strong hands-on experience in imaging methods, standard molecular biology methods and the use of animal models in the study of lung inflammation.
