The Opportunity
The Office of the Registrar is committed to helping our current and future students throughout their learning journey. The department is frequently the first point of contact for prospective students, and continues to play an important role in the lives of students throughout their time at SAIT. The Office of the Registrar is made up of several teams actively engaged with learners, including: admissions, contact centre, records and scheduling.
The Customer Service Assistant (CSA) is a polished professional providing outstanding service when handling all aspects of the Learner experience, in person, over the phone, mail, online, and email.
The Role
Provide confirmation of enrolment requests, receipt requests, course extensions – (time sensitive distance credit)
Complete data entry of Anticipated Final Grades
Provide general program advising and general support
Issue official transcripts
Respond to general inquiries
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Minimum
Current SAIT student or alumni
Proficient with pertinent MS Office 365 suite, Banner, Freshdesk, Cisco, and other related technology to support customer service functions
Knowledge of FOIP regulations
Preferred
Current SAIT student

Knowledge of FOIP regulations
Skills Required
Respect confidentiality, using good note taking practices.
Knowledge and compliance with SAIT safety guidelines, required Job Hazard Analysis and SAIT Safety Policy HS.1.1.
Effective communication, de-escalation and conflict resolution skills are required
Strong problem-solving and investigation skills
The ability to work in a collaborative team environment
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, including remotely with a high level of attention to detail
Knowledge of SAIT academic policies and procedures and the ability to interpret and communicate them to students, faculty, parents, counsellors, and other stakeholders.
