Purpose:
Reporting to the Manager, Faculty Council, the Faculty Council Project Assistant will assist the Faculty Council Coordinator in providing general administrative support to the Office of Faculty Council and its standing committees. This role will also provide administrative support as it relates to the development of the LA&PS Academic Plan.
Education:
College Certificate in related field (e.g. education, Governance, Business Administration) or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of recent relevant administrative experience, experience supporting committees considered an asset.
Skills:
Excellent oral and written communication skills to obtain and relay information in a clear and concise manner.Ability to deal courteously and professionally with people. Ability to work independently and to perform effectively in a team. Excellent ability to review and summarize qualitative data.Excellent organizational skills including setting priorities, multitasking and working effectively under pressure of high volume. Effective interpersonal skills including active listening. Proven accuracy and excellent attention to detail.Ability to maintain confidentiality. Proficient at using Microsoft Office, Powerpoint, Teams, Outlook and Excel.Proven understanding of equity, diversity and inclusion principles.Excellent judgment and initiative skills.
