EXP’s Central Ontario Infrastructure Group (Brampton) is currently searching for a Director Water Resources. The environment is fast-paced and growth-oriented, ideally suited for individuals who like to take charge and are driven to build on current successes.
Your Responsibilities
Supervise and as a subject matter expert, provide expertise, QA/QC, detailed design, studies for a wide variety of major projects, water resources modelling and hydrotechnical engineering including pipe network modelling including road drainage, subwatershed studies, culvert & bridge hydraulic projects, sewer capacity studies, environmental servicing plans, functional servicing reports, floodplain assessments, Expertise in hydraulics analysis and stormwater management studies and erosion studies.
QA/QC reviews on various project teams for value engineer solutions, identify issues and modify designs in order to assist our clients in advancing projects toward completion.
Participate on various project teams from a wide variety of disciplines including roads, bridges, transit including land and site development, to identify issues and modify designs in order to satisfy approval requirements, assisting our clients in advancing projects toward completion.
Extensive knowledge of requirements and strong relationships with review and approval agencies such as Municipalities, Regions, Provincial bodies including Conservation Authorities, NEC, MECP etc.
Drive to build business having a dedicated team of up to 5 direct reports to support the growth.
The Skills and Knowledge You Bring
Graduate Degree in Civil, Water Resources or Environmental Engineering with over 20 plus years related work experience
Registered with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) as a P. Eng.
Broad knowledge and understanding engineering principles related to hydrology, hydraulics and stormwater management.
Strong understanding of relevant federal & provincial regulations & requirements including the Ministry of Environmental Conservation and Parks Stormwater Management Best Management Practices Manual, Conservation Authority Water Development Policies and Procedures relating to stormwater and flood plain management & Environment Protection Acts
Knowledge of municipal and land development principles and design requirements within the Province of Ontario.
Subject Matter Expert with hydraulic (HEC-RAS) and hydrologic (SWMHYMO, Visual HYMO, XPSWMM, PCSWMM, InfoWorks, others) modelling software as well as MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook) is essential.
MTO RAQS Certification is an asset
Strong communication and report writing skills and ability to prioritize multiple project timelines.
Ability to work in a Team environment.
Able to manage multiple & challenging demands & priorities
