The Centre of Dreams and Hopes is a non-profit organization serving clients with special needs. In the summer we offer a camp service. This janitorial job will work with the camp service. We are looking for someone who will join our team, and making sure our building is clean. This person will work hand in hand with our head Janitor.
Tasks:
· Disinfecting surfaces (doorknobs, railings, tables etc.)
· Cleaning & disinfecting bathroom (soaps, and paper dispenser filled up)
· Garbage & Recycling of the building and taking them out on recycling and garbage day
· Vacuum, broom, mop hallways, classrooms, stairs
· Disinfecting air-conditioner vents
· Wash windows with pressure washer
· Other tasks related to the cleanliness of the building
The location of the job: 12550 boul. Lacordaire in Montréal north (H1G 4L8)
Work hours: 10:00am-5:30pm Monday – Thursday and Friday 9am-4.30pm (35 hours per week)
Work Contract: June 28th 2021- August 20th 2021
Salary: 16.00$ per hour
Specific requirements:
· at least 17 years- 30 years of age at the time of intake selection
· out of school for the summer
· a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or person on whom refugee status has been conferred
· legally entitled to work to the relevant provincial / territorial legislation and regulations
· not in receipt of Employment Insurance (EI) benefits
· available to work 8 weeks during the summer
· Must have functional English and/or French oral skills
