Description
Position Purpose Summary:
To provide support in the administrative HR duties of Southview and the Hospice. Provide additional support to the management team through various project and assignments.
HOURS:
- 30 hours/weekly (10 week temporary position – beginning May 31, 2021)
- Monday to Thursday – 9:00am – 5:30pm
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- File personnel documents (electronically or manually)
- Photocopy & distribute materials as required
- Send/receive fax/email material as requested
- Handle and ensure the protection of confidential/sensitive information
- Build & maintain databases (ex. Employee/volunteer information, contact lists etc.)
- Use word processing for routine documentation & keep records (such as forms, letters, memos etc.)
- Sorting and prioritizing assignments within general guidelines
- Assist the HR Advisor to reorganize employee files
- Work with the Executive Director & Operations Manager to develop the unit’s emergency response program
- Collaborate with the Receptionist & Management staff to maintain filing systems for various projects
- Process & files documents appropriately
- Assist the HR Advisor to redevelop the interview & intake packages for new hires
- Act as part of a team to archive personnel & other files
- Support the Management team to ensure that Southview’s web presence is optimized (website, Facebook)
- Other projects/duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Certifications:
- At least two years of post-secondary education with a high level of accuracy and written assignments
Experience:
- Working in a collaborative environment
- Developing written assignments with a high level of accuracy
Required Skills/Knowledge:
- High level of literacy
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Digital skills
- Proficient in Word/Excel/PowerPoint
Successful candidates, prior to hiring, may be required to provide:
- Background check consent
- A clear vulnerable sector screening
- A clean driver’s abstract
- Completion of our online Armatus Abuse Training and required Health and Safety training
