Mountain Adventure Skills Training Instructor/Coordinator
(MAST) Program
Regular, Full-time – Fernie Campus
Duties: You will teach in the College’s highly-regarded Mountain Adventure Skills Training Certificate program. Your work assignment will include 80 percent instructional duties and 20 percent program coordination duties. As MAST program coordinator, you will coordinate teaching schedules, assignments and staffing, and support other MAST instructional staff in meeting the program goals. Your initial assignment will include a selection of MAST courses in business, adventure tourism, and the wilderness environment based on your skill set. Qualifications: A Master’s degree in Adventure Tourism or a closely related field with industry certifications in outdoor adventure activities. This position also requires experience as a professional guide and requires excellent communication and organizational skills. Teaching experience at the College or University level is an asset. Other equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Salary: As per the Faculty Salary Schedule and depending on qualifications, instructional and related work experience, the salary full-time (100%) employees is in a range from $61,596 to $98,978 annually. The College also offers a comprehensive range of benefits.
