At McGraw Hill, the Project Coordinator will provide overall project management support and ensure that scheduling, project tracking and cost estimates are considered. You will become immersed in the reality of the customer, recognizing and anticipating customer needs to enhance the customer experience.

How can you make an impact?

Acting as a liaison between internal and external customers and suppliers, you will ensure the production of quality products in the most cost effective and timely manner possible (Print and Digital). You will communicate cross-functionally throughout the organization with teams including Supervising Editors, Business Platform Teams, Digital Success Consultants and other internal stakeholders while participating in at least 10 projects per year. This position will be required to sit out of McGraw Hill’s Downtown Toronto office and candidates must already be located within the Toronto Metro area.

What can you expect from this position?

  • Work with the suppliers/vendors assigned to the project, while negotiating the best price, schedule and quality. Hire and manage all production suppliers involved in a project. Oversee interactions with at least 25 vendors per year following the production cycle.
  • Monitor, track and report all aspects of the production process for multiple projects at one time. Record/update all relevant data regarding projects into Oracle.
  • Prepare and circulate for approval the required production budget costs and comparisons to be used for getting a project through the Business Case approval stages (Initial budget, Transmittal, Post Financial Analysis.)
  • Support and resolve Higher Education errata (Tier 2 support) through SalesForce.com or JIRA tickets within 5 days or less, while communicating with customers and sales team throughout process as required.

We’re looking for someone with…

  • Post secondary degree or diploma preferred.
  • 1+ years Project Management/Coordination experience, handling multiple projects simultaneously highly preferred.
  • Previous experience reporting and interpreting data from Excel spreadsheets.
  • Ability to demonstrate and continually learn new McGraw Hill technologies (Oracle, RPR, Dashboard, Habitat, Smartsheet, JIRA).
  • Experience with digital technologies related to book production and digital delivery platforms for electronic product.
  • Basic programming skills including HTML coding and XML.
