The PT Immigration Secretariat facilitates multilateral collaboration and communication among PT ministries responsible for immigration and supports the Forum of Ministers Responsible for Immigration (FMRI) to contribute to shared strategic objectives for immigration policies and programs within Canada.

Who are you?
You have a post-secondary degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered
You have a minimum of 4 years related work experience in social sciences or related business field

You are an effective communicator, adept at presenting detailed factual and conceptual information on issues that require explanation and interpretation

You have experience in intergovernmental affairs
As a Policy Analyst, PT Immigration Secretariat at ONB, you will:
Report to the Director, Provincial-Territorial Immigration Secretariat
Provide high quality policy analysis, research and advice on intergovernmental immigration issues
Support briefings and meetings of immigration Ministers/Deputy Ministers/Senior Officials and working groups by arranging agendas, background and meeting materials and written summaries
Collaborate with Federal/Provincial/Territorial (FTP) Government staff to assist in consensus-building and the advancement of broader PT views on immigration
Facilitate the implementation of the FPT Strategic Plan for Immigration, the governing document of the FMRI and provide advice to PTs
Draft annual reports, work plans and conduct governance reviews as needed
Language
Written and spoken competence in English is required. Please state your language capability.
Operational requirement:
This position is located in Fredericton, New Brunswick and may require occasional work outside of regular business hours (8:15 am to 4:30 pm). May also require occasional travel within the province.
