Description
Assist with The Willows Family Life Centre’s current community programming, plan & coordinate summer outreach program for children.
HOURS:
- 30 hours/week.
- 11 weeks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work cooperatively with the staff of The Willows Family Life Centre to promote our services within the Langley community.
- Engage with program participants in ways that represent our values of dignity, service, stewardship, and hope.
- Assist with the launch and maintenance of our new Toy Lending Library system and Willowbuds Parent-Tot program.
- Involvement in equipping participants in our life skills anger management courses called Red Cap (children 8-12) and TASK (youth 13-18).
- Build relationships and provide mentorship to at-risk youth in the community alongside our Youth Coordinator through weekly events.
- Plan and coordinate a 7-week summer outreach program for children.
- Develop social media campaigns and promotional material in digital and print assets.
- Administrative and reception duties as needed to manage program registration.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Certifications:
- Completed high school and be between the ages of 17-30.
- First Aid Training will be an asset.
- Must have a clear and current Criminal Record Check.
Experience:
- Prior experience working with children and activity planning
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Social media and computer proficiency an asset
Successful candidates, prior to hiring, may be required to provide:

- A clean driver’s abstract.
- Completion of our online Armatus Abuse Training and required Health and Safety training.
