What you can expect to do here:

  • Assist and support the Structures Supervisor with construction administration, including shop drawing review, request for information (RFI’s), NCR’s, change and claim management, schedule reviews, as-built records, etc.

  • Participate in discussions, meetings, and workshops with the Client and Contractor as required.

  • Conduct field reviews and field observations as required.

  • Assist in ensuring that all deliverables produced by the team meet quality requirements.

  • Ensure field reviews are undertaken in keeping with the applicable codes, specifications and current practices.

  • Assist in implementing QA/QC reviews and checks both administratively and during site inspections.

  • Support the Structures Supervisor with the coordination of 3rd party entities and stakeholders.

  • Review Contractor’s daily, monthly construction reports and other deliverables.

  • Document environmental and safety issues that may occur on-site.

  • Coordinate with the Contractor, Engineer of Record and Client on all submittals and deliverables.

What you’ll bring to WSP:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering preferred, (or overseas equivalent). Other technical or construction-related degrees would be considered.

  • 2-3+ years of civil/structural construction experience is preferable.

  • Must have the ability to professionally speak and write in English.

  • A working knowledge of the BC MoTI Specifications and the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) is an asset.

  • Must have the ability to travel to project sites within the greater Vancouver, BC area.

  • Valid Class 5 BC Drivers License and Clean Driving Abstract.

  • Must have the ability to read and interpret drawing plans.

  • Positive, team-oriented and a creative thinker who likes a challenge.

  • Organized, efficient and confident.

Compensation:

Salary range (in British Columbia): $69,600 – $95,800

The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. The salary range provided in this job posting may be subject to change for business purposes.
