What you’ll do

As Patient Recruitment and Retention Director, you’ll have the opportunity and responsibility to identify and support the implementation of patient- and site-facing solutions, supporting the recruitment and retention in our clinical trials across several therapy areas.

You’ll have a pivotal role in ensuring that the strategy set at project level is implemented and that the study team is supported from study set-up to study closure. This requires coordination and collaboration with both internal and external partners – and you’ll be the glue linking them together!

Internally, you will collaborate with four key partners; Patient Insights and Solutions Leads (PI&S Lead), Procurement, the Global Study team and the Site Management & Monitoring (SMM) organisation. Externally, you will engage and partner with relevant partners to remain up to date with the evolving market landscape and to support the identification of new solutions.

We’ll rely on you to:
Ensure a consistent framework is in place and applied to maintain continuity between the strategic direction agreed at project level, down to implementation at the study and local level

Ensure effective patient and site solutions are available for clinical project teams to access and include in their study design

Optimize adoption of patient and site solutions to impact patient and site experience, and realize business benefit (reporting of metrics, case studies and other experience feedback)

Ensure scale-up of solutions into business as usual process to optimise future direction and adoption

Develop internal communication plan, to raise awareness/increase adoption of patient and site solutions

Essential for the role

You hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher in science with previous experience in roles aligned to patient centricity in clinical trials and you have extensive experience in drug development in the pharmaceutical industry. Additionally, you have experience in one or several of the following areas:

Partnering with CROs and AROs

Procurement

Furthermore, your interpersonal skills are outstanding and you have a proven track record of driving fruitful and efficient collaborations with internal and external partners in a global context. It is important that you have a passion for patients and study sites, and a desire to optimise patient clinical study experiences.

As a person, you are a self-directed, problem solver and an effective leader who is able to make reality and real actions out of concepts and strategies
