EXP has a leadership opportunity for a Senior Director to develop and grow our Barrie operations with a focus on municipal infrastructure and land development.

Your Responsibilities

Provide leadership for the successful delivery of Municipal/Infrastructure/land development projects of varying size and complexity;

Work with Municipal/Infrastructure/Land Development team members from other offices to build diverse project teams;

Recruit, train, develop and retain local staff to successfully deliver projects;

Negotiate and manage budgets and help ensure financial performance objectives are achieved for each project;

Build and maintain client relationships, develop new clients and win work within Barrie and surrounding municipalities and with local land development clients;

Supervise and direct staff engineers and technicians to meet project deadlines as well as scope and budget requirements; and

Work with the leadership team within the Infrastructure groups, as well as across EXP ’s Practice Groups, to develop and carry out our mission, vision, goals.;

Represent EXP at local industry meetings, lunches, seminars, conferences, etc.;

Manage P&L and backlog and maintain Revenue and EBITA targets.

The Skills and Knowledge You Bring

Strong leadership, project management skills and the ability to work in a team environment;

Past supervisory experience (5+ years);

A strong attention to detail and accuracy;

P.Eng licensed, 10 plus years of experience preferably in consulting engineering;

Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills;

Ability to motivate employees and initiate change;

Proven record of client relationship development and maintenance;

Experience in either municipal sector or private sector client development.
