Description: Albert College seeks an energetic and dedicated educator to provide meaningful instruction to students in Instrumental Music. The candidate will have a proven record in cultivating a dynamic learning environment that nurtures students’ love of learning as well as experience in conducting a robust remote learning environment. In support of our mission statement, the successful candidate will be required to participate in other aspects of College life as permitted during these times of restrictions and will coordinate and prepare our students for music festivals, concerts and events as we return to previous levels of community involvement.
Albert College invites applications from qualified individuals to teach Instrumental Music to students in Grades 4 to 12, joining a talented team of educators. Ideally, the successful candidate will be an Ontario certified teacher with experience in teaching Instrumental Music in an independent school setting. The candidate will demonstrate an excellent work ethic and the necessary energy to engage students in a creative and integrated learning environment, either face-to-face or remotely. To this end, an excellent track record of teamwork with students, parents and colleagues is essential, as well as a commitment to the overall value of independent school education. In addition to excellent teaching qualifications, the successful candidate will also possess the knowledge of technology to accommodate students learning remotely.
Salary: Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to our benefits package, our certified teachers are members in the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan.
