Position Details
Career Bridge requires the services of an Experiential Education Technical Specialist (EETS) to commence work as soon as possible. This is a full-time, permanent position (AUPE, Program Specialist I).
Reporting to the Academic Director, the EETS plays a key role in the promotion of work-integrated learning, experiential education, and career development on our campuses. Specifically, the EETS is instrumental to the success of the MyExperience Transcript (MET) as the EETS is the primary contact for students and other stakeholders as it relates to the experience and competency catalogue, system access, and communications. The main responsibilities associated with this position include:
- Project Management: understanding stakeholder groups and stakeholder needs; managing program and institutional outcomes, shifting priorities, and deadlines
- Promoting the MET by facilitating presentations and workshops to increase awareness of experiential learning and the value of the MET
- Supporting stakeholders in utilizing the MyExperience platform and managing system access and the student/stakeholder user experience
- Performing operational duties related to integrating experiences into the MET platform
- Liaising with the vendor regarding system maintenance and upgrades related to the MET
- Managing the MET catalog, student-facing dashboard, and student/stakeholder communications
This role requires cross-campus collaboration, a strong knowledge of experiential records, and a solid understanding of student development theory and work-integrated learning. Additionally, this role requires the ability to work skillfully with technology (such as ORBIS’s Outcome platform and BANNER), and applications such as Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel). Exemplary problem solving and decision-making skills are needed, as it is often necessary to gather, analyze, and organize information rapidly to meet student/stakeholder needs. Time-management skills, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask are essential. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing students’ educational experience, a strong interest in working with students in a post-secondary educational institution, and the ability to work effectively as a part of a team.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $4,643.00 – $5,257.50 per month
Position Qualifications
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Preference will be given to those who have strong technical skills, knowledge of experiential records, and an understanding of work-integrated learning. The incumbent must be able to determine task priority, complete tasks with minimal supervision, and adapt quickly to changing needs all in a confidential manner.
