Who you are:
We are always looking for amazing talent who can contribute to our growth and deliver results! Geotab is seeking a Sr. Quality Manager is responsible for investigating post-deployment product quality issues and driving corrective action.
What you’ll do:
The main focus of this role is continuing to improve quality across Geotab and building a proactive quality system approach to having best-in-class product and customer experience. Emphasis is placed on documentation and standardization of current and future processes with focus on growth and scalability.
How you’ll make an impact:
Incident escalation, corrective action and preventive processes:
Own and implement company-wide a post incident response process driving investigation, corrective actions and optimizing for sale.
Be the point person to organize the required parties to respond to in-field issues as quickly as possible and minimize the impact to business operations, ensuring that levels of quality and service are maintained, corrective actions are applied, and lessons are learned.
Understand our current escalation methods within and across the technical, Product Safety, Operations, and Support teams to understand gaps.
Implement a strategy to reduce inefficient methods of escalation and develop a scalable model throughout the major technical departments, Product Safety, Operations and Support.
Institute and manage a committee of technical and operational leaders to review major operational and technical risks that may negatively impact Customer and Reseller experience, and share information.
Develop a corrective action process that works within the Geotab culture and focuses on systemic operational deficiencies.
Develop a proactive approach to preventative measures that mitigate occurrences while utilizing feedback systems and lessons learned as an effective tool.
Quality Management Plan:
Review quality structure throughout the organization for gaps.
Start to institute a centralized Quality Management System within the Geotab that meets the company’s business needs.
Review and develop the corporate strategy for product change control as it relates to customer requirements for change approvals.
What you’ll bring to this role:
10+ years proven experience in Quality Automotive or Aerospace environments or similar roles.
Experience in working with ISO compliant Quality Management Systems including TS16949 and AS9100.
Working knowledge of risk management principles, assembly, manufacturing, and supplier environments.
Experience in effectively improving electronics production quality.
Understanding of ISO/QS/TS quality management systems.
Successful in driving continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Experienced with implementing and executing First Article inspection process.
Non-conformance reporting and Material Review Board.
Principles of 8D, fishbone, 5-why, and PFMEA.
Advanced Excel skills and statistical analysis.
Understanding of technical specification documents, drawings, and tolerances.
High accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal relationship building skills.
A strong team-player with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization, and comfortable influencing all levels of the organization indirectly.
Technical competence using software programs, including, but not limited to, Google Suite for business (Sheets, Docs, Slides).
Entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable in a flat organization.
