POSITION SUMMARY:
A subsidiary of IDEX Corporation has an excellent opportunity for a Director of
Finance to join their local leadership team. IDEX MPT is a manufacturer of
material processing equipment, specializing in mixing, compaction, dispersion,
and fluid processors for pharmaceutical, food, and chemical markets. Our
optimized technology enables our customers to achieve consistent, repeatable
results in critical and precision liquid and powder handling applications.
Reporting to the Group VP Finance, this person will partner with the President
and key business leaders within the business Unit. They will be designated as a
high-potential performer who will provide strategic financial and business leadership
to the division. This person will be responsible for providing financial and
business oversight management reporting, financial planning/analysis, business
strategy initiatives, capital investments, and special projects. In this highly
decentralized environment, this person will have full responsibility for the
business unit P&L, balance sheet, and working capital. This person will be
expected to evaluate current procedures and processes and make recommendations
to improve operations and efficiencies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Builds Great Teams, coaching and developing Finance team members and broadening the fundamental understanding of finance/accounting across the organization
- Develops processes to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
- Directing and overseeing all aspects of the Financial, Controls, and Accounting functions
- Help drive 80/20 operational strategy to reduce complexity and increase profitability through a commercial and operational partnership
- Key business partner across all functions, providing financial and data-driven guidance to assess areas for improvement and to drive profitability
- Leads monthly, quarterly and annual Forecasting and Budgeting Cycles, identifies commercial opportunities & risks, and actively supports operational and sourcing planning to achieve results
- Managing processes for financial forecasting, cost accounting, budgets, and consolidation and reporting for the segment
- Supports the President, Commercial in analyzing data and trends to support the development and correction of strategies

PREFERRED BACKGROUND:
- BS in Accounting or Finance; CPA and/or MBA preferred
- Minimum 8+ years of relevant financial experience
- Career-motivated, dedicated, committed leader
- Detail-oriented and able to work within a matrix management structure
- Experience in a multi-currency environment a plus
- Hands-on / take-charge type financial professional with strong financial and analytical skills
- I ntegrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
- Job shop or project-based manufacturing experience preferred
- Knowledgeable in US GAAP is ideal
- Prior business partnering experience as P&L owner strongly preferred
- Prior manufacturing experience or exposure to inventory/cost accounting required
- Strong business and common sense
- Understanding of current financial reporting trends
