Your Challenge

This opportunity offers a full-time career-oriented position with our growing and dynamic team of water-wastewater and municipal engineering professionals. We are seeking a Director of Wastewater Treatment with experience leading complex projects and an entrepreneurial spirit to continue to build our wastewater treatment business line, and to take their career to the next level.

Your Responsibilities

Develop and supervise a team, which handles the design of wastewater treatment and related municipal infrastructure projects associated with:

Vertical infrastructure, including treatment plants, pump stations and related works.

Maintain client communications; prepare technical reports and presentations.

Coordinate internal resources to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and with quality control.

Oversee the preparation of reports, drawings, etc. by staff.

Utilize your extensive client network in business development activities to continue to grow the group.

Assist in hiring and directly oversee and mentor more junior team members.

Manage staff workload and utilization.

Develop and implement internal training, standard practices and QA/QC methodologies.

Make a positive contribution to the overall team culture and environment.

The Skills and Knowledge You Bring

Degree in Engineering with over 20 plus years related work experience

Registered with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) as a P. Eng.

Broad knowledge and understanding engineering principles related to wastewater treatment

Strong understanding of relevant federal & provincial regulations & requirements

Knowledge of municipal and land development principles and design requirements within the Province of Ontario.

Subject Matter Expert with hydraulic (HEC-RAS) and hydrology (SWMHYMO, Visual HYMO, XPSWMM, PCSWMM, InfoWorks, others) modelling software as well as MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook) is essential.

MTO RAQS Certification is an asset

Strong communication and report writing skills and ability to prioritize multiple project timelines.

Ability to work in a Team environment.

Able to manage multiple & challenging demands & priorities
