Distribution & Fulfillment Manager

Reporting to: Site Manager – Brampton

Position Summary:
The Distribution & Fulfillment Manager (DFM) is directly accountable and responsible for the management of the safety, quality, production, scheduling / planning activities of the site’s distribution / warehousing operations in accordance with the Company’s principles, policies and procedures. The site DFM will continually review all of the distribution and warehousing operational processes, systems, assets, and practices, and will proactively develop and implement sustainable improvements that align with the objectives of the Site’s annual business plan.

Qualifications:
Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:
The DFM directs the distribution and warehousing operations of the site by perpetuating the following responsibilities, either personally or through subordinate Leads, and in a manner that is consistent with the values and polices of the Company:

Development, maintenance, and reporting of KPI’s purposely designed to measure and perpetually facilitate service, transportation and warehousing cost improvement.

Support, maintain, and create documented standard Shipping and Warehousing policies and procedures.

Support and collaborate with Planning and Operations on the optimization of intra and inter-company distribution networking for low cost, low inventory, high service performance.

Continuously evaluate and review the processes and systems of shipping/traffic scheduling and related processes and systems. Design/implement changes that increase efficiencies, improve performance, and reduce costs.

Apply continuous improvement concepts to increase safety, service and financial performance for all distribution related activities.

Comply with all applicable EHSSS rules & responsibilities.

Willingly accept other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Assist and support plant outside warehousing needs.

Freight claims oversight support.

Warehouse / Transit Damage

Cycle Count / Inventory Accuracy Performance

Warehouse Capacity Metrics

Sales Orders On Time and In Full (OTIF) Performance

Candidate Qualifications:
This position requires a minimum of 10 years of increasingly responsible distribution management experience in a multi-plant environment.

The minimum education requirement for this position is a Bachelors’ Degree. A Master’s Degree, related post education training, hands on understanding of Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma or other specialized certifications are preferred.

Knowledge of inventory control, warehouse operations, transportation operations, order management, performance metrics, costs and other techniques.

Instinctive ability to rapidly identify and define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and implement appropriate action.

Excellent computer aptitude and application skills.

Safety Expectations:
Safety is always the number one priority. All actions taken will be conducted in the safest manner possible and without risking injury to yourself or others.

Follow all Safe Practices and safety policies and procedures.

Report all accident, incidents, safety violations, near misses or unsafe conditions to your Supervisory IMMEDIATELY. If any bodily fluid (bloodborne pathogens) are present, it must be properly cleaned by a trained employee.
