Responsibilities
The Director of Care is responsible for oragnizating, management and leadership of the Continuing Care Assistants. The Director of Care is also repsonsible for the management and well being of all residents. Under his/her leadership, skills, management tools and understanding of the decision making process, the Director of Care will guide and assist the Continuing Care Assistants.
The Director of Care will guide the CCAs to achieve specific goals set out in the Care Plans of residents.
The successful candidate will also participate in ongoing National Accreditation and be responsible for aspects related to nursing and facility management.
Qualifications
Currently Licensed with the College of Registered Nurses of Nova Scotia or able to be licensed with the CCRNS.
Demonstarted leadership and management skills.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing or experience
Administrative experience and leadership skills
Ability to work as a team player
Knowledge of nursing process, excellent clinical assessment skills and problem solving
Supervisory and interpersonal skills written and oral
