As Supply Chain Director you will:
Exercise your leadership skills with a constant focus on effectiveness, and the ability to motivate members of your team, even those working remotely, in order to accomplish the Company Strategic Plan.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Supply Chain Director, will be responsible for a team of managers in different geographical worksites. You will have to ensure that the Integrated Data Management & Life Cycle Support, Material Management, Support Equipment & Facilities and Electronic Publications activities are carried out according to the best practices of the industry and respect for the organizational values, policies, and procedures of L3 MAS and our Corporation. With your team, you will have to make sure that L3 MAS respects your delivery deadlines, the quality standards, as well as the assigned budgets.
As a member of the Management Team, the Supply Chain Director is a key player in setting and achieving strategic goals and is an influential leader in improving decision making, cost optimization and data management efficiency.
As a team player, the Supply Chain Director will be required to work closely with the representatives of the various L3 MAS departments as well as client representatives, including the personnel of the Department of National Defense.
The Supply Chain Director is required to travel to meet your teams at the various operational sites across Canada as well as possibly at the head office (USA).
Essential Functions:
Oversee the development and improvement of ILS processes, tools and technical approach required to support current contracts and upcoming bids;
Responsible for the performance of the following ILS functions:
Integrated data management and Life Cycle Support: including fleet management and monitoring, life cycle material management, integrated information environment management
Material and Resources Supply: including In-Service Support R&O and procurement contracts, production procurement and customer supplied materials, strategic sourcing and Logistic Support Analysis
Support Equipment and Facilities: including AMSE and STE maintenance and management and infrastructure set-up
Electronic Technical Publications
Oversee the preparation and approval of new business ILS proposals and work estimates;
Responsible for the preparation of contract deliverables and data submittals;
Responsible for the ILS team interaction with Engineering, Operations and Programs;
Identify, monitor and promote performance measures (indicators) within your team;
Identify, communicate and develop business opportunities;
Participate in the development and management of the annual budget allocated to you as well as the projects and investments under your responsibility;
Participate in the implementation and maintain a culture of continuous improvement;
Ensure the adherence of ILS activities to the policies and procedures in force while promoting efficiency and effectiveness in a multi-site context;
Ensure the standardization of procedures within your team as well as the implementation of best practices;
Implement and maintain a communication culture to facilitate the sharing of information (objectives, projects, procedures, improvement, etc.);
Maintain strong relationships with representatives of various L3 MAS departments as well as representatives of our clients;
Maintain strong relationships with team managers at operational sites;
Engage and encourage your team to implement a culture that promotes the empowerment of everyone in terms of health, safety and the work environment and the quality of products or services;
Organize, support and get involved in recognition activities with your team;
Ensure that your team develops the full potential of all employees, develops succession plans, and develops coaching plans by implementing a local management system that promotes feedback.
