Requirements:

This course is part of the Second Language Teaching (SLT) Program, a program that trains future second language teachers.

The preferred candidate will:

  • Hold a graduate degree (preferably a doctorate) in applied linguistics, second language education, or a related field
  • Have academic and professional publications in the field of study over the past 5 years
  • Have professional experience as a second language teacher (in Canada and/or abroad)
  • Have expertise and experience in the teaching of listening and reading in English as a second language
  • Have demonstrated teaching effectiveness at the university level as evidenced by recent course evaluations or equivalent. Experience in training (future) second language teachers will be an asset.
