The Opportunity:

This role reports directly to the Director of Finance Decision Support and demands a candidate with exceptional analytical acumen, interpersonal finesse, and strong influencing capabilities. The successful individual will lead a team of individual contributors, driving Finance’s strategic support for senior leadership – primarily within the Fidelity Investments Canada (FIC) distribution business. Key responsibilities include overseeing both regular and ad-hoc reporting and analysis of industry trends, business drivers, key performance indicators, and financial outcomes.

As a core support function for the CFO, President, and FIC Senior Executive Team, this position will spearhead the development of management and Board presentation materials, and play a pivotal role in the business planning process by defining and reporting on critical success metrics. Additionally, the individual will coordinate all ad-hoc decision support requests from the CFO and President, ensuring timely, accurate, and high-quality execution across the Finance organization.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead financial reporting and analysis efforts, primarily for the Fidelity Investments Canada (FIC) distribution business
  • Provide Board-level reporting and strategic support across all Fidelity Canada legal entities
  • Champion process optimization by enhancing documentation and driving continuous improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to the design and rollout of a new management reporting framework to elevate decision-making
  • Support Fidelity Canada’s business planning cycle, with a strong focus on the FIC business unit
  • Foster a high-performance culture through effective leadership, promoting efficiency, professionalism, and team engagement
  • Take ownership of performance management and personal development to drive growth and excellence

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in financial management required.
  • Leadership and Management skills required.
  • University degree with a concentration in Business, Accounting, or Finance, or equivalent work experience.
  • Post graduate designation CPA, MBA, or equivalent required.
  • Experience in financial services industry is an asset.
