The Regional Support Manager will be reporting to the AVP of Store Operations for Ontario to support a group of 12-15 stores in maximizing their overall profitability, and representation of the Giant Tiger Brand through implementation & execution in stores of the Giant Tiger system.

The region covered by this candidate would include the Eastern end of the GTA to Kingston, including the Kawartha area.

Highlights:

  • Visit stores to share and exchange ideas with Store Owners/Managers and associates in order to identify Best Practices;
  • Provide feedback to the Home Office team on plans, strategies and opportunities, as well as communicate any required or recommended changes to the Buying and Advertising strategies based on market conditions;
  • Provide clear communication on areas of store strengths, and opportunities for improved sales and profit;
  • Assist stores in the planning of Quarterly Sales and Expenses to maximize store profits, with a focus on identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in the development of Store Supervisor skills related to buying/merchandising/managing
  • Assist with the training and development of Managers in Training

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of retail experience;
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a District Level Management of retail stores is required;
  • Strong organizational skills;
  • Strong merchandising and financial background;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Experience in apparel would be considered an asset.

This position will require the candidate to have their own vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and be available to travel with overnight stays where the business requires.
