Stenberg College is seeking four Practice Education Monitors in the Fraser Valley for our
Early Childhood Education Program! Monitors are responsible for overseeing students while on their practicums within various childcare programs in the region. Monitors support and guide students while completing their practicums.
Location: Fraser Valley (Coquitlam, Langley, Surrey, Delta, Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Maple Ridge and Mission)
Employment Type: Part-time
Schedule: 10 hours/week over a period of 6-weeks
What You Will Be Doing:
Setting Your Schedule: you will connect with students and arrange times to visit them at their practicum sites, once a week, currently this is being done remotely online.
Providing mentorship: you were once where the students are; share your insight on the industry, monitor their progress, provide on-going feedback, and help support their learning
Being a Liaison: representing Stenberg College and upholding the ideals of our institution
Who You Are:
Early Childhood Educator with a full 5- year ECE Registry Certificate to Practice
Have Infant Toddler and Special Needs ECE Registry Certificates to Practice
3 years of work experience with Infant Toddler and Special Needs children Someone who has strong organizational skills and a commitment to ongoing professional development. In your current or past role(s), you have been the one looked upon to train/mentor new hires
