Our Supply Chain Division is looking for a Director, Warehouse to join the team. Bruce Power is committed to operational and project excellence and in this role you will be responsible for the leadership and strategic direction of the Warehouse Department. As the Director, Warehouse you will need to be organized, passionate and results-oriented with proven experience directly managing a warehouse. This position reports directly to the Division Manager of Supply Chain Analytics, Integration and Logistics and provides leadership to all work programs within the Projects and Engineering division.

What will you be responsible for?
Managing and providing leadership to the Department which consists of Warehouse Front Line Managers, Power Workers’ Union Stockkeepers, Building Trades Union Teamsters, Warehouse Section Manager, Logistics and Investment Recovery Section Manager, and Administrative Support.
Development, management and execution of the Logistics Plan.
Providing the site with material management capability to have available, when needed, necessary parts and materials.
Overseeing the enforcement of all warehouse procedures, practices, and safety policies.
Provides advice and guidance on all matters related to warehousing, inventory control, logistics and investment recovery in accordance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Forecasting, planning and coordinating inventory management activities to ensure availability of equipment and materials when required by end users.
Making strategic decisions for developing, implementing, revising and maintaining computerized and manual control systems (such as bar-coding, temporary storage, tool management systems, toolbox control, etc.).
Managing the process to identify specific warehoused materials, tools and equipment potentially redundant, legacy, obsolete or surplus, and plans disposition arrangements.
Continuously monitoring and evaluates new warehousing and distribution technologies in an effort to maximize overall efficiency and moves towards establishing a green warehousing environment, in accordance with Corporate and Divisional objectives.
Responsible for special storage, handling, maintenance and shelf-life programs for all assets in storage (materials, tools, equipment, and spare parts). Ensures verification activities occur through routine tours and planned inspections.
Responsible for establishing, implementing and maintaining a safety inspection program on tools and personal protective equipment in compliance with required standards. Arranges, prepares and plans material shipments and deliveries in conformance with Corporate, Federal and Provincial Regulatory requirements.
Education and Experience
This knowledge is considered to be normally acquired through the completion of a 4 year University degree in a related field such as Business Administration, Commerce, Science
Engineering or other commercial/technical programs and ideally supplemented with an MBA, EMBA or Professional Designation or by having an equivalent combination of education and experience.
A minimum of 8 years of progressive management experience in a relevant field is considered necessary to gain this experience.
