The Opportunity

Rocky View Schools (RVS) is seeking an outstanding professional for a term, full-time (35 hrs/week) position of Human Resources (HR) Analyst to join our dynamic team. This position will start immediately and go to January 7, 2022. The incumbent aligns HR policies, procedures and data management in HRIS in consideration of collective agreements/terms of employment, current employment legislations and accepted human resources practices. A valid Alberta Motor Vehicle License and access to reliable vehicle as some travel will be required to schools. This position is located at the Education Centre in Airdrie, Alberta.

Responsibilities

Facilitates effective change management by developing a plan of action to obtain buy-in and commitment from the HR team, supervisors/managers and RVS employees

Provides support and analysis on ways to leverage technology solutions in order to meet the needs of the HR department and Rocky View Schools

Creates and updates procedural manuals for the HR department in consideration of RVS policies, HR internal procedures, collective agreements/terms of employment, current employment legislations and accepted Human Resources practices

Provides support to the HR team by identifying, analyzing and preparing proposals for the implementation of systematic business process changes as well as efficiencies within HRIS databases

Partners with HR team and supervisory staff to create and maintain HR programs and training initiatives that promote the desired organizational culture for Rocky View Schools

Assists the HR team with time-sensitive and confidential investigations, job evaluations and other HR projects as assigned by the Director of Human Resources and/or the Associate Superintendent of Human Resources

Education/Experience

Bachelor degree in Human Resources/Business Administration or a related field

Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) designation required

Five or more years progressive experience in Human Resources field

Working knowledge of organizational effectiveness theories, employment legislations and current Human Resources practices

Knowledge and experience with HRIS technologies

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and web-based applications

An equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered
