About The Role

We are looking for a Director of FP&A & Strategic Finance to join Snapcommerce’s growing Finance & Strategy team. We are looking for someone with a financial and analytical mind who will partner with all other functions across the organization. You will be responsible for managing the FP&A team, determining timelines for developing & updating budgets, and managing the consolidation of various lines of business into one corporate level budget.

You will be involved with monthly management reporting, budget to actuals, preparation of monthly and quarterly forecasts as well as supporting annual budgets. You will be a key member, working cross functionally to deliver concise financial summaries for various management and investor-related requests around Snapcommerce’s future growth.

In addition to demonstrating your general accounting knowledge, you will work alongside business leaders to build new business cases for new projects and help identify financial objectives and targets, develop and own our operating model, run ‘what-if’ scenarios, and develop materials for the board, existing and potential investors.

Challenges You’ll Solve

  • Business Acumen: You will use a strong, analytical mindset, attention to detail and critical thinking skills to perform a variety of analyses (both quantitative and qualitative), querying and analyzing data, and ultimately making high-impact recommendations to key leaders.
  • Financial Acumen: Analyze financial and operational results to better forecast and execute our strategy
  • Analytical Experience: Conduct financial analysis, build dashboards and reporting, dive deep into understanding data. You will be responsible for maintaining the financial models and management presentations.
  • Collaborative execution: You will work closely with all teams and help to implement and maintain a cloud planning solution
  • Owning ongoing model development and business casing to evaluate growth initiatives, product launches, and overall Product Line performance
  • Preparing monthly P&L and operational metric forecasts
  • Developing actionable management reporting, dashboards, and KPIs as well as overseeing monthly variance analysis and operating reviews to track overall business success
  • Acting as a leader in developing a high performing team

About You

  • Degree/Diploma in Accounting or related field required
  • 8+ years of work experience with 3+ years working internally in an FP&A function required
  • Corporate Finance / Accounting experience
  • Experience working at a public company in a FP&A / Corporate Development / Investor Relations role required
  • Preferred prior ecommerce / fintech / SaaS / tech company
  • Experience with SQL a must
  • Experience with BI Tools such as Periscope, Looker, Tableau
  • Experience using FP&A cloud planning tools such as Adaptive Insights, Planful etc.
  • Experience and knowledge in manipulating huge data sets, and identifying / articulating key insights
  • Can go deep on a problem, understand first principles and identify pockets of opportunity
  • You have incredible presentation skills, meaning that you are comfortable building presentations that are tailored for the audience
  • You have incredible attention-to-detail, meaning that your work is accurate and you can stand behind your numbers and insights. Your accuracy will allow you to make trusted recommendations to senior leaders.
  • You have excellent judgment, with an ability to focus in on the right problems, uncover the right solutions, and bring clarity to situations with a great deal of ambiguity
