Manager Eastern Distribution

JOB PURPOSE:
Reporting to the Director of Logistics NA, the Eastern Distribution Manager will effectively lead and manage the Management teams of the Florenceville (CCS) and Grand Falls warehouses to ensure a safe work environment and the handling of frozen food products in a safe and HACCP regulated manner. This role must demonstrate all McCain Leadership Core Competencies and coach Management teams on same, while ensuring accountability for a safe, responsive and efficient operation.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Measuring and Managing Cost and Performance
  • Driving and promoting our Safety and Continuous Improvement programs
  • Management of Inbound and Outbound Product
  • Facility Maintenance and Planning
  • Coaching and Developing Staff
  • Ensuring compliance to regulatory and company related requirements at the McCain Warehouses in Florenceville and Grand Falls, New Brunswick.
  • Meeting Departmental KPI’s, monitoring and communicating to facilitate yearly improvements.
  • Develop and foster safe work practices and building a safe work culture
  • Timely and effective communication and demonstration of Leadership Core Competencies measured and assessed by annual engagement survey.
  • Timebound commitments to carriers and customers while achieving a high level of onsite customer fill rate.
  • Efficient loading crews providing a high level of accuracy of orders and accuracy of inventory, while ensuring documented issues are resolved.

KEY QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCES:

  • 5 years’ experience in variety of supervisory roles with focus on Shipping, Receiving and Warehousing, or similar facility supervisory experience. BS degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management or Business Administration degree is preferred.
  • Broad and complete understanding of Inventory Management processes.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership and coaching skills along with ability to manage multiple priorities is required.
  • Experience and ability to problem solve, analyze trends, coach and lead to facilitate McCain broader goals.
  • Foster professional relationships across the complex and create a team-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated data analytics capabilities with the ability to identify insights, alternative solutions and recommendations
  • Strong organization skills to handle multiple priorities to ensure timely follow-up and resolution
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other communication and tracking systems
  • Must have experience in WMS and SAP inventory systems
