The Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement, North Property Management, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor with maintenance management experience located at the Saskatoon Provincial Correctional Centre. As a member of a service-oriented team, you will responsible to provide customer comfort and service by ensuring a safe environment to SaskBuilds and Procurement customers/clients.
You will respond to client inquiries and ensure facilities and equipment are safe and in good operating readiness. You will also perform routine building maintenance; operate/maintain manual and powered equipment; climb ladders, and lift and or carry heavy objects. You will be responsible for maintenance procedures/equipment and ensure facility/equipment is safe and meets operating standards.
You will be responsible for supervision of other North Property Management maintenance staff in the building. On-call (Standby) is required.
To qualify for this position, the successful candidate must have a valid class 5 Driver’s Licence. You will have a valid 5th Class or Fireman’s and Refrigeration Operators certificate or will obtain within the probationary period. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ supervisory experience. A valid Saskatchewan Journeyman’s cerfiicate would be an asset.
This position is responsible for:
the overall physical maintenance of the Saskatoon Provincial Correctional Centre;
managing boiler room operations so that all codes and safety regulations are followed;
planning, supervising and controlling of all service functions as they relate to equipment, and systems of the main centre and satellite facilities;
providing responsible leadership for the staffing, supervision and management of staff and other resources for all maintenance services and projects;
supervise/assist in administering and managing all projects and special projects implementation to evaluation;
assist providing support and advice to the Building Manager on impacts of maintenance issues on budget, security and programs;
providing advice and direction to on-call staff handling emergencies;
preventive maintenance of equipment and systems;
maintain Archibus maintenance computer system; and
provide leadership and management to staff in establishing work routines and standard Centre objectives.

Hours of Work: C – SGEU Regulated 37.33 – one day off every three weeks
