PUF Educational Assistant (PRE-SCHOOL) Part-time Temporary

Foothills School Division is currently seeking a PUF Educational Assistant in the preschool program; this temporary position follows the school calendar and offers approximately 13 hours per week.

Typical schedule will be Tuesdays and Thursdays (full days).

The successful candidate will have the ability to work with minimal supervision and to celebrate day to day achievements while keeping long-range goals in mind. The ability to foster a safe and caring learning environment is essential. The establishment of a good working relationship with parents and community is also critical.

A strong background and expertise in working with students with a wide range of physical, cognitive, social and emotional differences, as well as personal assistance in toileting may be required.

Preference will be given to candidates that have experience working with children who have Autism.
