Education and Critical Skills/Experience- Education Manager
Education and experience
Degree in Health Sciences (Master’s degree or higher is an advantage).
Certification by International Board of Lactation Consultants Examiners (IBLCE) is an advantage.
Understanding of maternal and infant health issues, NICU experience preferred.
Experience creating and delivering education to Healthcare Professionals.
Minimum three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Main Responsibilities-Education Manager
Education -Internal
Leads training activities of all employees. This includes accurate documentation of training status. Identifies training needs for staff and attend training and courses as required.
Identifies areas in Medela where educational programs are needed internally.
Is responsible for and translation of MAG education material or creation of new education material and delivery of internal education including but not limited to clinical education, product training, sharing of best practices and latest research.
Is responsible for the adaptation of all educational and program materials to include the required Canadian content including but not limited to clinical practices and regulations
Updates current educational programs, incorporating latest research into the appropriate programs and manages the content through multiple education platforms including live, online, webinar, and written education
Collaborates with Product Marketing (PMK), Corporate Communications, Social, Digital and others to develop strategy and execution to achieve business goals
Proofreads Education and Marketing materials.
Assists sales force in intensive in-servicing for hospitals to support adoption of new products and programs within the hospital environment requiring clinical expertise.
Provides clinical guidance to understand customer complaints and propose potential methods to resolve clinical product and user issues
Education –external
Development, coordination and implementation/delivery of clinical based training programs, tools and materials to maximize the safe and effective use of Medela products, and to support revenue growth
Coordination with clinicians, healthcare facilities and Medela’s sales, marketing and quality teams to facilitate appropriate delivery and use of white papers, case studies and clinical research to validate the effectiveness and safety of Medela products and evaluate the outcome and measures results/satisfaction by account
Is accountable for the delivery and facilitation of education and training programs; acts as trainer and speaker.
Serves as expert on NICU and maternity practices that interface or are impacted by human milk (breastfeeding / breast milk feeding) as well as surgical and wound care practices.
Updates current educational programs, incorporating latest research into the appropriate programs.
Coordinates the delivery of live product trainings as well as live education programs.
Interactions
Works cross functionally with US and Global counterparts
Builds, develops and maintains relationships with local key opinion leaders by;
Nurturing external contacts with national and regional KOLs
Sharing the latest information/research and education material with KOLs
Preparing local clinical stories by KOLs with MAG support
Organizing conferences / lunch symposia with KOLs to educate doctors, midwives and nurses
Participates and gives input in national, regional and local sales training meetings, customer visits, and other promotional events as required.
Attends national and international conferences / exhibitions as required.
Extrapolates appropriate information from studies; summarizes and renders data into a usable format for the purpose of group presentations and/or individual sales presentations.
