In this role your will:
Participates in developing and executing negotiation strategies.

Oversees as well as drafts, evaluates, negotiates and executes contracts on behalf of Fraser Health Authority.

Serves as the primary organizational contact during contract negotiations and ensures consistent management of all proposals and contracts.

Conducts contract strategy meetings to identify issues and client requirements, and facilitates pricing discussions.

Develops standards for contracts, including presentation of budget, payment terms, general language and provisions.

Participates in sourcing events such as Request For Proposals (RFP) facilitated through PHSA representing FH.

Develops and maintains procurement and contract templates in line with contracting best practices.

Identifies and implements innovative procurement and contracting models for continuous improvement.

Contributes to strategic leadership at all stages of contract development cycle, including planning (e.g. RFP development), risk assessment, pre-award & due diligence, contract award, ongoing management and termination.

Builds strong vendor and supplier partnerships based on strong value propositions, and patient care focus.

Leads and performance manages designated managers and staff.

Ensures all facets of the sourcing and procurement processes meets all requirements of the public tendering process.

Ensures service contracts include language which clearly define service levels, and performance reporting.

Routinely assesses risk and implements mitigating actions.

Supports the management of relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

We are looking for you to have:
Master’s degree in business, healthcare management, law or related field, preferably, supplemented by seven (7) to ten (10) years’ recent, related work experience in a contract management leader role, such as purchasing or contracting or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
