Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: • Applicants must have or be eligible to
hold a valid PEI Teacher’s License and have a physical education or
kinesiology degree or specialization;• Good classroom management and organizational skills;• Knowledge and experience with effective teaching strategies;• Effective oral and written communication skills with students, parents and colleagues;• Able to demonstrate teamwork and collaborative practices• Demonstrated commitment to on-going learning and school community.The following would be considered assets: • Experience at the Elementary grade level;• Experience with IEP’s and Running Records;• Experience with StudentsAchieve(SAS);• Knowledge of school level curriculum;• Knowledge of effective assessment strategies;• Knowledge and experience with modifications to curriculum.Note:
