The Product Support Manager is responsible for the integrity, growth and profitability of the Branch by maintaining and supporting company objectives through the effective management and growth of the parts and service operations.

  • Model the way for safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviours in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policies, Programs and initiatives
  • Manage and meet all branch parts and service objectives
  • Provide administrative and policy guidance on Toromont and Caterpillar policies to all direct reports
  • Maintain trusted relationships by leading a high level of customer service
  • Review and monitor operational expenses and financial reports
  • Develop, implement and manage improvements for all aspects of product support
  • Lead, inspire and coach employees to achieve personal and corporate goals
  • Actively pursue business in the territory to support equipment, parts and service
  • Collaborate and work closely with Sales Teams
  • Provide a sense of urgency and foster a team environment to encourage growth consistently

Job Qualifications :

  • Post Secondary Education with a minimum of 5 years experience in a managerial/supervisory position in a related industry
  • Safety conscious with a strong technical aptitude and a solid knowledge of the heavy equipment products and industry
  • Customer centric with proven leadership, coaching and team development abilities
  • Effective communication and strong interpersonal skills to deal with internal and external customers at all levels
  • Solid business acumen with the ability to oversee financial operations
  • Mindset for continuous improvement and experienced in planning and budgeting with strong organizational skills
  • Strategic and influential with excellent analytical and problem solving and conflict management skills
  • Flexible with the ability to manage multiple and often competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Solid understanding of Caterpillar and Toromont operating policies and procedures
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Applications, DBS and SIS
  • Willing and able to travel and a valid Driver’s Licence and clean Driver’s Abstract
