Job Description
Program Director (Full-Time / Permanent)
Due to agency growth and program expansion, ARC Programs is currently accepting applications for two Program Directors, to join our management team. Both are full-time, permanent positions.
Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Services and the Executive Director, the Program Director will manage assigned program services and provide clinical coordination, support and supervision to program staff.
The Program Director will:
Plan, organize, control, and direct the provision of services for assigned programs.
Implement comprehensive plans and strategies to achieve identified program objectives.
Provide clinical supervision and support to program staff to address the complex needs of the clients served.
Provide supervision and support to program staff in relation to developing and maintaining client records and effective case management practices.
Provide annual employee performance appraisals, and cooperate with staff to develop performance objectives and professional development plans.
Provide after-hours on-call crisis consultation for program staff, in cooperation with other senior program staff, as applicable.
Coordinate the referral, screening, and intake procedures for assigned programs, in cooperation with program liaisons and referral agents.
Liaise and collaborate with stakeholders, program liaisons, referral agents, collateral service providers and multi-disciplinary teams to assist with service coordination, enhance program services and ensure best practice.
Participate as a member of the Management Team to develop long range and strategic plans, and collaborate, assess and resolve operational issues as they arise.
Complete administrative duties, including the range of required incident, quality assurance and program reports.
Qualifications:
These positions require sufficient training and experience to perform all responsibilities of the Program Director Job Description.
The ideal candidates will have a combination of supervisory experience, as well as clinical expertise related to supporting high-risk youth / children experiencing complex mental health issues.
Qualifications include:
A Masters-level degree in a relevant discipline (ie: MSW, MA in Counselling or Psychology, etc).
A minimum of 3-years of clinical experience in mental health and/or family support services.
Preferred Types of Related Experience:
Supervisory experience with similar services
(Protective) Family Support services
Youth and family counselling
Child/youth mental health services
Other relevant community-based services
